Sunday Afternoon Church

Date:
Sun, 2010-05-30 - 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Wisdom from the mouth of a six year old

Anne was talking to a 4-year-old girl who lives near us, and her 6-year-old brother:

Girl: “How many people live in your house?”
Anne: “Three, but there are a lot of other people who visit”
Boy: “That’s because they have church!”
Girl: “Oh...       What’s church?”
Boy: “Well, church is like a party.
You know when we have lots of people come to our house for birthday and parties and things? Its like that!”

Chris McLean preaching this Sunday

Chris says: “I will speak on ‘Nevertheless’ from 2 Samuel 5:6-12. I have found as I have studied it alongside 2 Corinthians 5:17 some great strength in living within our identity or as James teaches us not to forget who we are.
I would like us to pray at the end for any continuing strongholds that seek to defeat us.”

Chris is a great preacher and although his sermon might not be quite as dramatic as the picture below, I’m sure it will come close to it!
