Southern Ontario is peppered with wonderful celebrations of agriculture and harvest at this time of year. Over 230 agricultural societies across the region mount exhibitions that showcase the best of rural life. These events are opportunities for gentle competition between neighbours, and community gatherings where village folk come together to celebrate the harvest, catch up with each other and have a little fun for a couple of days.

The village of Erin has hosted an agricultural Fall Fair through two World Wars and a massive fire. It’s been 165 years of goat shows, homecrafts, giant pumpkins, chuck wagon races, country music, 4-H achievement and PIES!!!!
