  • The Cabbagetown Festival event was a great success. A team met on Thursday evening to prepare for the event.
    • We labeled over 500 bottles of water with Newlife invitations.
    • Fifty literature packs were assembled involving laminating, folding and clipping
    • Four testimony posters were created to explain some of the myths about Christianity
    • A new design of Newlife T-shirts were prepared
    • Signs were constructed for the front yard

  • Many people have the idea that the church is always trying to get money from people, so our intention was to show that God’s love is free by handing out free water.
  • All 500 bottles quickly went, thanks to our great team of “hander-outers”
  • We also wanted to dispel the myth that Christianity is boring by showing that Christians have fun
  • A group of people hung out on the front lawn all morning, singing worship to God and just enjoying being together
  • Many passers-by read our posters, and several engaged in conversation.
  • Almost all our literature packs were taken by interested people
