Cherry Beach get-together

  • We will be meeting there at approximately 2pm on Saturday July 18.
  • If you can, please bring snacks, drinks and whatever else you feel would contribute to a fun and relaxing time. It is not too cold for swimming!

Josh and April

  • We are sadly saying goodbye to Josh and April Best this Sunday. But our loss is Grand Rapids’ gain and we wish them well in this next phase of their lives. Join us in praying for them and blessing them on Sunday.

The picnic last week was a great success, and Ryan was able to get an awesome and amazingly clear group photo. This is the first time we have had a group shot and apart from a few people who were not able to make it, everyone from Newlife is in the picture! (including a few welcome visitors)

When I was a student, I managed to persuade one of my unsaved university friends to come to church with me and hear a gospel message. Afterwards I asked him what he thought.

He said “It seems there are two kinds of people, those born again and those not, and there is absolutely nothing you can do to get from one group to the other”. Unfortunately the rather bad gospel message had given no help whatsoever to a person wanting to become a Christian.

My goal is for this Sunday is that all of us will be very clear what is means to become a Christian.

New Life from Decay--Sign spotted at the Toronto Zoo.

Those who were able to go on the zoo trip on Monday had a great time (even though the weather was not so great). Above is a wonderful sign we spotted there :) On the right are a couple more pictures:
