End of summer trip to Toronto island
Lets say goodbye to summer island style. Join us for a picnic lunch and fun day out on Toronto Island
Let’s end the season with a bang!!!!! This Saturday the social committee is organizing an end of summer trip to Toronto Islands.
TRANSPORTATION
We’ll be taking the ferry over to the island.
Meet time: 10:00 am
Meet Location: Jack Layton Ferry Terminal
Directions: The Jack Layton Ferry Terminal is located at the foot of Bay Street at Queens Quay, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle hotel. From Union Station take the 509 Harbourfront or the 510 Spadina streetcar south to the Bay and Queens Quay stop.
Alternately, take the Bay Bus #6 southbound from the corner of Front and Bay to the Bay and Queens Quay stop. The entrance to the ferry terminal is on the south side of the street, just west of the Westin Harbour Castle hotel.
Expected travel time: The ferry takes about 15 minutes to get to the island
Official End: 5:00pm however everyone is welcome to stay later if you prefer sunset walks along the beach
Possible activities: Picnic, hiking, frisbee, lounging around and general family fun! Bring your gear if you want to participate in any of these activities
What’s provided: The church will have hot dogs, condiments and water. (Each person will bring an item to share with the group)
