Hebrews 12:1–3

  1. Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
  2. fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
  3. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Deuteronomy 31

  1. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.

John 8

  1. Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

Takeaway

  • Even though we are going through difficult times and life may feel unfair, God is worthy of our praise.
  • If we fix our eyes on Jesus we will not grow weary and not lose heart.

Isaiah 12

You were angry with me
Now you comfort me
My God has come to save me
His anger has been turned away

I will praise you Lord
I will praise you Lord
You are my strength and my song
I will praise you Lord
I will praise you Lord
You are my strength and my song
