Galatians 3:21–25 (ESV).
- Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law.
- But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed.
Galatians 3:21–25 cont’d
- So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.
- But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,
- for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.
Three huge stumbling blocks in my walk with the Lord
1. Luke 12
- “For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.”
- And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:
2. Things that people gave as “constructive advice”
- Don’t ever volunteer as you’ll end up doing all the work
- Stay in the background as it’s much easier and you won’t be responsible for mistakes
3. Galatians 3:21–25 (ESV)
My prayer is that I be able to trust God to lead me, to break out of my lethargy and to give my all to what God sets before me and become totally dependent on him…
