Galatians 3:21–25 (ESV).

  1. Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law.
  2. But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
  3. Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed.

Galatians 3:21–25 cont’d

  1. So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith.
  2. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,
  3. for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

Three huge stumbling blocks in my walk with the Lord

1. Luke 12

  1. “For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.”
  2. And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

2. Things that people gave as “constructive advice”

  • Don’t ever volunteer as you’ll end up doing all the work
  • Stay in the background as it’s much easier and you won’t be responsible for mistakes

3. Galatians 3:21–25 (ESV)

My prayer is that I be able to trust God to lead me, to break out of my lethargy and to give my all to what God sets before me and become totally dependent on him…
