“It’s ok to be hurting”

Kate

Romans 8:35–37

  1. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?
  2. (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”)
  3. No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

Matthew 19:16–26

  1. And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven.

  3. When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”
  4. But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
