Luke 11:11–13
- “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?
- Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
- If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Hebrews 4:15–16
- Bad things do happen to good people.
- Death is our destiny.
- What is our response?
- For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
- Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Conclusions
