1 Corinthians 2:6-9

  1. Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away.
  2. But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.
  3. None of the rulers of this age understood this, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
  4. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—

2 Corinthians 5:16-21

  1. From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer.
  2. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
  3. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;
  4. that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
  5. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
  6. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
