Proverbs 3:11–12

11. My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline
          or be weary of his reproof,
12. for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
           as a father the son in whom he delights.

Psalm 103:13

13. As a father shows compassion to his children,
       so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.

Psalm 27:10

10. For my father and my mother have forsaken me,
          but the Lord will take me in.

5. Father of the fatherless and protector of widows
         is God in his holy habitation.

Psalm 89:26
