Rom 1:20–25

  1. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
  1. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.
  2. Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
  3. and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
  4. Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
  5. because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

2 Chronicles 20

  1. And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the LORD and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the LORD, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
  2. And when they began to sing and praise, the LORD set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.
