• Missionary to Lisu people in SW China, early 1900’s
• For years only a handful of people were saved
• He was constantly discouraged by people falling back into demon worship
• He decided that he needed to pray specific prayers
  • But only when he was sure that was the request was from God
• After much prayer he distinctly felt a burden to pray for 100’s of Lisu families
  • But more years went by and very little happened

The Last Journey

• He decided that God’s timing must be further into the future
• He would make one last tour of the province and then go elsewere for a few years
  • but…
• Every village he arrived at, he was met by dozens of people wanting to become Christians
• A great harvest swept through the province with villages he had never even preached at turning to Christ
