The New Creation

1 Corinthians 13:9-12

  1. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part,
  2. but when what is perfect comes, the partial will be set aside.
  3. For now we see in a mirror indirectly, but then we will see face to face.
Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I have been fully known.

Matthew 4:14-17

  1. so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:

  3. the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.”
  4. From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Mark 6:12-13

  3. Aren’t all these verses about beginning the Christian life. Do Christians have to repent?

  4. And they said to him, “The disciples of John fast often and offer prayers, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours eat and drink.”
