Second Sunday Afternoon Meeting at St. Martins

The new meeting time—Sunday afternoons—seemed to work out very well last week. We’ll be meeting again this Sunday at the same time (3:00pm). Luke and Dan will be leading the worship and Andrew will be preaching the third and final message on the “Kingdom of God”, (as part of our series on Christian foundations).

Bill took some great pictures. Here are a couple of us worshiping:

Our very first Sunday afternoon meeting! This Sunday we’ll be meeting at 3:00pm instead of 6:00pm. One advantage of meeting earlier is that there is more time for fellowship and food afterwards :)

Here are a couple of pictures from when we met two weeks ago.

We had a great time eating pancakes last Sunday. Over 30 people showed up with huge appetites and nine batches of pancakes were made by Anne and Susanna! Here are “before” and “after” pics:

There is exciting news for this coming Sunday. We have a visiting speaker, Ken Hall. Ken is one of the leaders at West Ottawa Christian Community, a church in Ottawa that has very similar values to ours. He lived as a child at Sackville and Gerrard and has a heart for what we are doing here in Toronto.

I promised another picture in the DustinTM series and here is photographic proof that Dustin is taller than Martin. (And that Yvonne-Marie is smaller than either of them—but you probably knew that already.) There is a prize for the first person to tell me whose is the single eye peeking around the doorway next to Dustin.

The meeting will be at our normal location of St. Martin's school. The worship will be led by Dan & Luke.

It is great to have Clyde and Rachelle meeting with us. Clyde is an an anesthesiologist and Rachelle has just begun to practise in family medicine. Clyde is from one of the Newfrontiers churches in Harare, Zimbabwe where he played a significant role in the growth of the church. We look forward to him preaching at Newlife during July.
